In the beginning of the year while we were renovating our new house I learned some practical skills like how to repair broken walls, remove old wallpaper and put up new wallpaper. In our garden we have lots of flowers, and my mother taught me many things about gardening. In September I learned how to cook food from Iran. In 2011 I also started learning the Russian language, I am still a beginner, but I have learned many new words. ´ Which new skills or other things did you learn in 2011? Have your new skills or knowledge been useful for you?

I don't know much about CSS and Ajax. You mentioned a game called Lord of the ring. What kind of game is that? I like to play games myself, but I don't think that I have heard about that one. I agree with you about Mylot, it is great place to spend the time

This year I learned indoor gardening and sprouting, Its fun to grow your own vegetables. I enjoy sprouting the most cos its low maintenance and you can harvest it 5 days. I dont but tomatoes and chilis anymore cos I grow them in pots. I also learned about the disgusting thing knownas GMO, Most food in the United states now are GMO, so when it comes to food, I avoid the made in USA food, next to Made in China.

It is great to hear that you grow your own vegetables.I don't know much about indoor gardening and sprouting, I have never really tried it. My former mother-in-law grew chilis and she gave many of them to us, because she knew that we often used chilis in our food, She also gave us other kinds of vegetables and it was much nicer than having to buy everything in the shop. GMO has also been a topic in the Danish news, I think it sounds disgusting.

What is GMO anyways? I never hear about it, cause most of news in my country was about politics. Most of people in my country plant vegetables or fruits in their garden. With this way, they are more secure from chemical and it save their money.

I found out that many people got extreme food allergies because of GMO, then some of them were proven to be cancerous, we eat veggies and fruits to be healthy right? we dont eat them to die but many GMO are deadly. before I trust Made in US products but now 70% of their food is GMO'd by monsanto. I cant trust them anymore.

I have a blog on a social networking site, but I don't really use it much. Maybe I should use it more often, because I think it is nice way to share your thoughts, ideas and experiences with others. Which things do you write about on your blog? Painting can be a lot of work, but it is very nice when it is done. We moved almost one year ago and because we moved in I painted the house. I am glad I don't have to do it again right away

I haven´t learned many things this year. I have not had much energy to do much with the chemo. But I did learn how to cook with a chemo diet and still have nice dishes. And I learned more about the vegetables I grow, so this year I´ll have better crops.

Which vegetables do you grow? We don't have a vegetable garden yet, but we are thinking about making one in the back yard. I would like to grow vegetables for my husband and me and for our rabbits and guinea pigs, but I still haven't decided exactly which vegetables we are going to choose.

I´m growing tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, zuchinni, chard and some green beans. The grean beans are not in the best shape as there are some birds that love the leaves. If you have rabbits and guinea pigs, you must grow carrots. But the best is to check online what they prefer.

My ex-boyfriend and I grew tomatoes and some other vegetables in our garden. It was very nice to be able to use our own vegetables when we were cooking dinner. I think that carrots is good choice for the guinea pigs and rabbits, because they all love carrots. They also like cucumbers a lot.

I haven't learned new things this year. I am busy working as an account for a company here. I wanted really to learn other things. I don't know what and where to start. I have much failure this year because I wanted to settle small business, but I got insufficient time and my money is also not enough to back up the worst. I learned from it and made it new knowledge and experiences as well.

I am sorry to hear that you have experienced some failures this year, but I think you have a very postive attitude, because you say that you have learned from the experience. I try to do the same things when I experience failures, I try to see it as a kind of learning experience. Maybe I didn't get the result that I hoped or expected, but at least I learned something about myself and I try to use the things that I have learned in a positive way.

I also wish you a merry christmas and happy new year It is good to hear that you have started to write articles. I have thought about doing the same thing, but so far I haven't written any articles, I only participate in discussions. I prefer to write articles in my local language, but I still haven't found any sites where that is possible.

I have learnt through the hard way not to be so naive with even the friendliest person around. I have made a resolution not to reveal again anything to anyone about myself or the things I have been doing. Overall, it's a good year because at this particular point, I am able to look at life from another angle positively. I am back on my feet and have regained my confidence. Thank you to all those who made it possible. It's really wonderful that you have managed to learn so many news things throughout this year. Russian is a difficult language to learn but nothing you can't conquer if you start from the basics and put your mind to it.

It is good to hear that you are able to see life from a positive angle and that you have regained your confidence. I don't know what happened, but I hope that you will be able to put the bad experience behind you. Yes, I find the Russian language quite difficult to learn especially because I also have to learn a new alphabet. I practice new words almost every day, and I think that I will improve little by little.

Hi Porcospino There are many things that I learned during 2011. Been a not so great but okay kind of year but the second part was much better. During the second half, I learned some new applications and frameworks to add to my portfolio, I also learned that people Truely make use of others' ignorance to mint their money (I know this is bad and immoral and I will stay way from this one for sure). On personal front, I learned my wife is prone to allergies(not a healthy sign as I am and thought I was the only one prone to illness), I also learned the art of making chapatis(indian food, made from wheat powder)round - was kind of forced to learn because my wife was away for most of the days in 2011 and I was all alone to cook(though I can cook almost everything right), and yes, of course, A few new words that I learned - "namesake", "toddy"(slang for politicians in South Africa). Now that 2011 is on its end, I hope that 2012 will come up with better healthy teachings which will be useful

I hope that 2012 will be a good year for you. I am sorry to hear about your wife's allergies. I think that you have already had your share of illnesses and you don't need new worries about health problems I also learned some things about cooking this year. I am not very good at cooking, but for birthday my husband and I decided to cook food from Iran to try something different. It was a delicious dish and maybe we are going to try food from other countries in 2012.

Balancing Life - For a harmonious living, we have to achieve a balance between various aspects of life.
In the first half of 2011, I learned how to be strategic in the face of adversities in my work place. Rather then getting overwhelmed by unfavorable events, I learnt getting on top of issues and that eased life a bit up for the second half. I learnt some new ways of making money online, including here at myLot. I also learnt new skills in blogging & writing and how to put them to good use for a long term freelance career. On the personal & social front, I learnt family & friends care for me and so I have to make time for them for a harmonious life. I improved my learning about healthy living & how to lead a balanced life.

It sounds like you have learned some important and useful things this year. That is great. A freelance career sounds interesting, I would like to do something liek that. I am an artist, but I don't earn enough money from my art so I have to combine it with other sources of income. I would like to improve my writing and maybe make some money that way.
