Most singers from Asia are well loved by foreigners. I don't know if I'm right but I think Ms. Regine Velasquez started it all when she performed a song in New York City. She received a standing ovation. Since then, most Filipino's received a standing ovation wherever they performed. Recently, a new start is born. She is Charice Pempengco. She was discovered through YouTube and appeared on some TV shows in the US and in the UK. She received a standing ovation whenever she sings. She also performed in South Korea. Most recently, there is also Maria Aragon. She is a Filipino from Canada. She was discovered when she sang Born This Way with Lady Gaga! See? They are well-loved and not afraid to show their talent.
