How can I upload a picture here that i would eventually use as profile picture?

Welcome to mylot.
At the top of your mylot page you will see some options been displayed in blue. Select the one which says "preferences". You'll be lead to a page where you may edit your profile info and set your profile pic or avatar as we all love to call it.
