Wonder why people drink so much that they get sick over and over?

I was just watching something on TV and the guy was a habitual drinker, and he gets sick and barfs in the toilet. He was always drinking, especially on the weekends, and then when he tries to go to bed, the room goes round and round and then he is up in the bathroom with his head hanging in the toilet. Yuck... that reminded me of my first husband... he would drink like this all the time. He wouldn't know what his cut off limit was. He would drink at the bar and mix drinks with beer.. I mean he would drink beer and drink gin, and whisk3y, and rum.. and all that junk... he would come home smelling like a brewery and acting like a fool... I remember one time he was on the floor in the bathroom I was so disgusted, I told him to flush himself down the toilet. Needless to say, I can't stand a drunk. They scare me. My first husband wasn't always a mean drunk, but sometimes he was. Sometimes he would get his face rearranged because he would start something at the bar and then get thrown out. I'm so glad that no one drinks in my family. I wouldn't want to have to deal with a drunk. If you have to deal with a drunk, how do you manage? Please share.
