Does this ever happen to yo? When I get on the train in NYC and it happens to be pretty empty with lots of seats available, why do the crazy man seat right next to me. He have lots of empty seats to choose from, but "no" he want to annoy me. What do you do in this situation without freaking out?

No, it doesn't but I once came across almost the same as you mentioned. I was on a train in London at the time. There were only three passengers. Suddenly came a drunk man from the next compartment. He was approaching a woman who was sitting alone. He wass trying to hurt the woman. Fortunately a man who sat opposite her warned the drunk man.

I am glad that man was on the train with the lady. He made it known to the drunk man that he was going to protect the lady if he tried anything. They are people that care and who are willing to risk their life to help a person.

When I get on a train that has just one or two people on I sit far from them rather than right next to them. Only if the train was very busy would I sit between two people in the middle seat of three. I man that sat next to you on the train most have been very weird. If I was in that situation I would stay in the seat and look forward to getting off at the station.

I agree with you that the best thing to do is to get off the train at the next station. This way I will avoid any confrontation.

hello, If this will happen to me? Of course my first reaction is to move far from him because maybe I think he is planning something to me. Especially if there is a lot of seats available.

I agree with you, I will move my seat far away from the crazy man without drawing attention to myself.
