Before posting this post , i tried 5 or 6 more comments on post bt it did not work . after trying several time , this post appeared , i never encountered this kind of problem before .

Try to refresh the page before and after you post. Sometimes, if you refresh the page or wait for it to load, it can contain the posts you made. Mylot is quick but not everything is automatic. Also, it helps to use the latest version of your browser so everything loads quicker.
There is no definite popular topic. It depends on how relatable your subject here. Topics can range from the simple to the mundane. Topic can range from giving advice, simple curiosity or if you want help or comment in a certain situation or perspective.

As i thought there might be the problem of internet connection and you didn't able to post. Or there is little glitch. It will worked out soon and i feel you will do the posting normaly.

that happens sometimes because there might be a server problem of your internet connection or there might be some problem associated with mylot or there can be some problem with your mylot account. some times when you post some bad content at that time mylot might have deactivated your posting rights for sometime. well i am not sure about this but there can be some thing associated with it......
