Seeing myself moving backward

From what I saw, a lot of people trying their best to move forward. They are giving themselves an opportunity to advance themselves, either by going back to school, or climbing a ladder to better opportunity, even though the economic prospective wasn't so good today. When I look at myself, I haven't done anything yet, even now, I felt like I am stuck, and idle. I am doing the same job for the last 5 years, nothing change, nothing move me upward, or forward. Sometimes, I even consider myself moving backward. Should I just waste my time, myself for something that is dead end forever? Or should I regardless the risk or failure, take a chance to prove it to myself and everyone, I can do something far beyond? What is your take? I want to moving forward, and make a better life for myself.

First off, consider yourself lucky for having a job at all these days. I would not look at it as moving backwards at all. Right now it is a positive thing because you are keeping yourself afloat in this horrible economy. I do not think this is the time for change. I would wait a little longer if I were you.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't do your best and move a step forward. So go ahead and prove to everyone your true worth!

I say that if your feeling this way then in your heart you've already made a decision. Life is too short to sit back & watch it pass you by. I always thought I'd have plenty of time to do all the things that I always wanted to do. You always have that outlook on life when your young, but now that I am older I realize just how much of my life I wasted. I think of my 20's & reflect on all the things I wanted to do, but never got around to doing. Take my advice if there is something you want to reach out for do it. Don't wait until life has passed you by & it's too late.
