The white heron is a bird which is practically seen all over the Philippine archipelago. In grazing lands, ricefields, etc. this bird loves looking for food where the carabao is. Herons also frequent cattle corrals. There's a legend about this bird in our place that herons make invisible nest and eggs. The legend goes on to say that anyone who finds the heron's eggs will possess magical power. The egg finder will have the power to appear and disappear at his will. I want to prove to them that this is a superstitious belief because I don't believe the legend myself. The best proof to show them is a picture of a heron with eggs in its nest. If the nest is available in your locality, kindly post it here for the information and guidance of all concerned.
