I hate it more that anything else. I believe, the main cause of some problems arising in our community here in the Philippines is corruption. There are many corrupt leaders in our society. They indirectly steal our money in many forms. I think, many Filipino knew this already but still no action with regards to this matter. What can we do to avoid corruption? Can we fight corruption? Filipinos, I need your voice with regards to this topic.

Corruption is like a mad disease. It is also contagious. No one in the politics could live without it. If you deny it expect your a walking deadman.

Yes, we see corruption as the disease that is crippling the Philippine economy. Most of the government officials we have elected are corrupt. They enrich themselves in office while their poor constituents live in abject poverty and distress. If you will consider the amount of salaries these officials earn in office as compared to their luxurious homes and properties, then it can be judged where they are getting their money from. If you want to be rich without having to work hard, then join politics. Who is then to blame for all this? We were the ones who voted for these people. We elected them into office knowing that they are corrupt. We gave them the chance to get rich. There are many candidates who lost even if they were more responsible because we the people were tempted by sacks of rice or free groceries during the campaign period. When will we ever learn? I don't think we will ever learn our lessons not unless we wake up to the reality that we have to join hand in hand to become responsible voters.
