All Leaders are Corrupt?

Philippines

Corruption is one of the hardest task, many countries are facing today. Here in the Philippines, corruption is really common. I believe, many Filipinos were poorly suffering from this corruption. I am very sad that many leaders practice this kind of illegal act. If there is no corruption, surely there are many infrastructures that stand today in our country. There is progress in our country without this so called corruption. Anyway, my dear friends and fellow mylottters, do you believe that all leaders are corrupt? Can all leaders be trusted? How can we stop corruption? What do you think are the effects of corruption?

I guess, not all the leaders are corrupt. Should not be negative thinking !!! The biggest problem for the country to move forward or get progression in many thing is the lack of trust of citizens.

I think most of them are. Even though they may not involve money during their corruption, they would like to become a political leader for certain selfish reasons. To avoid corruption, we need an independent organisation that is not related to the government to supervise the government which can take action under the protection of the law against the government. We need such an organisation because corruption has led bad living standard to citizens as they cannot get any welfare from the corrupted government.

Normally, good people will not indulge in corruption. But you know our mindset. We are not not rich by borne. So, when we try to compare ourselves with a rich person, we practice all sort of things to become richer like him and inturn indulge a practice of corruption. Actually we have learned a lot from the British people, but negative things we have picked up more. Cut and paste culture is more and more increasing. We have copied everything from the British, but pasted only the negative things in our life.

I don't know if that is a truth all leaders are corrupted, but majority of them are money - hungered no doubt, and they will do anything to maximize their profit in the harm of average citizens. That is what politicians do, and most of them are not trustable. So, once you are in power, you might be tempted to maximize your own benefit in the cost of million of people.

I am a Filipino and I also felt the effects of corruption here in our country. Indeed, many Filipinos are suffering of poverty and hunger especially those poor ones. Most of our government officials are corrupt. But not all are corrupt. There are still those minority of them who are diligent and true to their job. That is so hard to find in our country. Look at those neighboring countries emerging and becoming wealthy. They all become successful because only a small percent of their officials are corrupt. Not all leaders can be trusted. There are still those who has underground business. To stop corruption, we can't do it right there and then.

well my freind all leaders are not corrupted. the non-corrupted leaders are very less in number. but their hands are binded it might be because of corrupted leaders..... you know how corruption started it started from us..... if we want to stop corruption first we have to stop us...... i.e from doing wrong deeds or we can say to complete or compete we have to do the work with full honesty not with bribes.............

Yeah, this is definitely a serious problem that our country is facing. Not all leaders are corrupt though, but I think many are. Even though there are still good leaders, the bad ones usually have more power over them..

We have too much corruption here in the USA, too. Our founding fathers wrote a system of checks and balances into our Constitution because they believe that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Unfortunately, our Constitution is being trampled by those who are supposed to be under its authority and defending it. Our justice department is out of control and might as well be called the injustice department now. If we don't vote these people out of office, we may lose all the liberty we have taken for granted since our founding. The only way to get rid of corruption is for people to become more morally accountable and for the rest of us to vote out those who aren't.

Actually it is our leaders who play with our life and society. We traust them and in turn they cheat us. We just give our vote by seeing the name of the political party rather than seeing the corrupt politician.
