Having lunch with boss

I used to have boss who always having lunch together with his team member, almost every day. Regardless his nice personality, he is actually gain many advantage by doing it. His team member will be open to discuss any office problem with him and also the relationship getting closer and closer. Since people tend to open discussion on relaxing situation like during lunch, that’s the reason many sales person doing approach with their clients during lunch as well. He will also able to understand and dig the problem really deep and showing empathy on his member problems, either personal or professional problem..So there’s no wall between us and he cut his time to arrange formal meeting with his team member since he knew every details problem during lunch..How about you? Have you ever experienced to lunch with your boss? Do you see any benefit from doing it?

Yes, i did have lunches with my boss in the past. I was there to take note of the meeting proper after the lunch. It's nice, because i get to eat delicious foods too.

Well, I have experienced those informal meeting combine with lunch as well.. That was wonderful, firstly we can save our budget hehe..and then seems we can discussed any problem in the office smoothly compare than any formal meeting we usually conduct in the office. .I think most of us will enjoy this kind of meeting.. The problem is everyone busy with their dishes and nobody taking minutes of meeting.. so sometimes the decision will forgetful in long run..

Usually, the meeting would take place before or after having lunch. Then, at lunch it will become a bit personal or getting to know each other better. Yes, we can save our budget for lunch if we keep on attending lunch meetings.

Hello omchesunche , having lunch with boss, I can't believe. I think your boss is too friendly towards you, na? You are so lucky to have a boss like this. It is indeed a better way to keep touch with all members in the group. I think he is very intelligent as well as friendly, doesn't he ?

hi, actually that is one of my dislikes,it because i cant eat in my natural way because my boss or some other boss are there and can see my manner though its not bad,but still i am shy to be with them when eating.

No problem to take lunch with boss if boss is good by nature if the boss is danger and everytime annoying then no chance to eat the meals with boss. When we are working in team then it is good habit to share the lunch with other group members or boss.

Well, you have good points.. that was happened with most of the boss. We would not have comfort when taking lunch with that kind of boss, you can imagine the atmosphere would be not good and maybe not easy to shallow the food as well..That's the reason people mostly avoid to eat with their boss and better to enjoy having lunch with their friends. Most of the time they can talk and gossip about their boss either, that I always find on some company I have been working with.. Appreciate your response my friend..
