Have you ever been distracted by a friend while working?

I am into rush for a project needs to be submitted 2 hours before my deadline. And suddenly a friend of mine came into my room showing me her new cellphone, explaining the details of it and blah.blah. Why there are some insensitive people who don't even bother to see if a person is busy or not. How can I tell my excited friend that I am pressured by my work and time without hurting her feelings? How can I do this while doing and rushing my project? This is not the first time she did this to me.

the most straightforward way to do so would be to tell your friend you are so busy ,and donot distract you; if he refused to do so,drive him away.

Last Christmas, I agreed to work all day thinking that I would be spending this day in solitude. Before lunch time, friends started coming over to visit and share the day. I had to cook, entertain and cleanup afterwards. As a result, I had to work till late at night just to be able to finish the job. I hate distractions when I am working but I cannot drive people away. Just have to make adjustments. On ordinary days, I just lock the door in order not to be distracted by anyone else. Most of the time, the neighbors think that there is no one home.
