I have an answering machine connected to my land line phone. I also have caller ID. Now I check both when I come home. And sometime I see numbers on the caller ID, that I don't recognize and and the caller did not leave a message. My question is when this happens with the no message but the number shows up on the caller ID. Would you or do you call the number back?

I wouldn't bother calling them back. I always figure if it were important they'll either call again, or leave a message on the answering machine when they had a chance.

I do not call the number. If it was important for them to talk to me they would have at the very least given me their name as a message. If I think the number looks familiar, I will do an online reverse look up. I have never regretted ignoring those kinds of numbers.

No I don't call them back, I feel if they don't leave a message it is most probably a wrong number and telemarketer or just not important enough to leave a message ot maybe they just want to call back later.

Hi Chevee, No, I would not bother to call them back when they leave no message. If they can’t have enough manners to leave a message, then I don’t care who they are… they can call back and leave a message next time. I won’t be chasing them.
