I'm not pregnant now. I just wanted some advice on what's best for a babies development. I thought it would be interesting to hear from women around the globe. Doctor's recommend taking a Prenatal vitamin during the pregnancy. Do women agree that this is one of the ways to decrease birth defect. Or are their many factors that go into the development of a baby. I would say your diet plays a role in providing your babies nutrient. Does a women's happiness contribute to a babies development? Also is age an important factor. I know many may say I should consult a doctor. I want to hear from people that have experience carrying a child or from people that have plans to conceive.

The best age to get pregnant is twenty-five to thirty years old. Age thirty to thirty five is also quite a good time to get pregnant. Between the ages thirty five to forty it can take a long time for the lady to get pregnant because she is less fertile. Complications are more likely if the mother is older or overweight. A lady trying to get pregnant should have a healthy diet and take prenatal vitamin pills. A lady that gets pregnant needs enough folic acid to prevent birth defects. The baby's spine forms around week three of the pregnancy about one week before a pregnant lady can find out she is pregnant using a home pregnancy test. I had my first baby when I was twenty two years old, my second child when I was thirty four years old and my third baby when I was thirty six years old. My second baby is disabled and he is now four years old. He has got spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I took vitamin pills before and during my pregnancy with him. For my next pregnancy I took a much highest dose of folic acid. My daughter was born normal. She is now two years old.

Thank you for being so open with me. Is the folic acid you took a prenatal vitamin. Or did you take folic acid alone? I wonder if I can buy plain folic acid not mixed, Since that is the main thing doctors say help prevent birth defects.

I had vegetarian and vegan multivitamins. I also took a separate folic acid my third time around. I suggest looking in a health shop for folic acid pills. I know that prenatal vitamins don't have much Vitamin A in them. That is how they differ from ordinary vitamin pills.

The mother's health is a big factor on the development of the baby. But it is the father's health that usually determines the babies total well being. If the sperm from the father is abnormal, there is a big possibility that the baby will be born with abnormalities. My OB told me that I should start taking prenatal vitamins the moment we'll try to conceive. This is done so that my body will be really ready for the pregnancy. The woman's happiness can also be contributing factor, if the woman is stressed all the time, she might go into preterm labor which is dangerous for her and the child.

parental care each of us needs them. to tell you while I was pregnant because I have two children, twins. I drank only folic acid. I did not file any other medicines. Yet most importantly when you are pregnant you just have to keep to go to a consultation. only when it is born a child wants more attention to more care. nice day!
