Do Modern Leaders Influence Our Budding Youth

If we read the biography of great leaders and many great accomplished men, we hear them saying that they were greatly influenced by cwertain leaders or their parents and siblings. Does this happen today. Do we hear anybody saying that they were greatly influenced by someone. Some decade back many people were perhaps influenced by Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Many were perhaps influenced by Pope John Paul the II. Today who are the great living leaders promoting the cause of the poor and the downtrodden people. If we look at our society today can we mention a name of a leader or a person who influences humanity for the socio-economic and spiritual upliftment. This Mother Earth has been made holy by several altruistic hearted leaders. But today who are our altruistic leaders doing good to the humanity?
