In Madhya Pardesh people received SMS that if any one sleep after 6 PM on 2.1.12 than they will convert is stone statue. People so afraid there that they did not sleep whole night and also not allowed to their small kids to sleep. What is this nonsense, people are still believing in this type of news.

Thank God in Tamil Nadu no such SMS was received. We all slept well on 2nd night. We should not believe such rumours.

Yes these things must be ignored. One will really die because of pressure and fear because of this rumor so this must just be ignored.

This sms was also being spread and recieved in UP also. These are just ridiculous rumours. People should know that , everything in this world will die one day. So why are they so scared by such rumours. When something is going to happen , it will happen.

That is right. All living things will have to come to an end on one day or the other. We human beings also should perish one day. there is no point in worrying about the end. it can come any moment.

I don't know much about the beliefs in that place but I have to agree with you that it is such a nonsense belief. 'Though sometimes we cannot really blame people believing on it if this was passed on from generations, someone will still do it and believe on it. It is just not true at all that one will convert to a stone.

This is similar to rumor that world will come to an end in 2012. Such rumors should not be circulated or should be disregarded.
