What are ways to keep my cats from misbehaving?

My cats are constantly tearing up my furniture and carpet, I have bought then a lot scratching posts and even an emery cat off of T.V. I never give them cat nip and they have both been neutered. Do any of you anything more I could possibly do?

I have also a male cat but he is very obedient and logic animal so i never had problems. I think that you can try to dominate over them. I know that cats are not listening to threats and voices but you can try to teach them to be obey with the tone of your voice.Or you can try this: everytime they scratch the carpet you can show the scrathcing post and encouraging them to use it.
