Vampires can be funny............

I was recently watching the movie The Librarian - Curse of the Judas Chalice in which Stana Katic has played a 16th century vampire and she has some really funny lines. I love her even more than I loved her in the Castle series. But what got me thinking about vampires is that the common folklore about them is that they cannot survive in the sunlight..Stana Or Simone in the movie says....poof! that's the way vampires go when sunlight touches them. Similarly in the movie Interview with The Vampire, Claudia and Madeline are turned to ashes when sunlight floods the airshaft they are thrown in. Now you must be wondering why I am going on about this but wait, has anyone realized that in the Twilight series, all the Vampires actually roam around freely in bright daylight?? Now I am really confused! Do they live or do they die in the sun?? At least the filmmakers show some consistency here!

Thank you for responding professorji! The most famous vampire is Count Vlad Dracula created by Brom Stoker. The lore of vampires is more popular in the Western world, in Asia, it became popular only after the various Vampire movies, at least I think! But if you like movies, watch The Librarian - Curse of Judas Chalice, you will enjoy it.

Obviously these characters are not real.. no one has ever seen them ..so what they do is just refer to the previous version. the person to first created them laid out some rules for vampires but now people are more creative and like to add more features to these characters .. making them more powerful is one of them.. I have not seen Twilight series movies...

yes sumanadep, obviously they are not real although some believers might argue that they do exist just like some people would swear on anything claiming they have seen real ghosts! You should see the Twilight series, its based on Stephanie Meyer's novels and they are good. If you like fantasy and fantastical beings, you will really enjoy these movies.
