Hello Lotters, To be frank with you, I have greeted a lot of people during their Birthdays. most specially in Face-book and it's nice to know that facebook allows you to see who are those in the birthday celebrations. I don't and it feels weird but i feel sad remembering my birthday because I know am not getting any younger, probably have trouble accepting the fact that am getting into the middle age stage (hehehe). but as long as social networking sites like mylot exist, i wouldn't have trouble enduring the few years growing up any further. Do you have to be creative in order to greet some one? I used to be fanatic in sending greeting cards to my friends, whether it is ordinary or monthly occasions. as for me, I had a quiet Bday, with a few people greet. Have a nice day

Hey, try greeting someone a very happy birthday in a different language. Use Japanese for example -- ? ?????? ????? ?????! (it reads o tanjoubi omedetou gozaimasu) which means happy birthday! :) If you are setting up a party for someone, you may also want to create a foreign atmosphere, maybe use Japanese as well. So set up a tea party and put up some lanterns and wear yukata or kimono. Haha, but caution, you might go through a lott for these.. But, all in all, if you do that, the birthday celebration will be so memorable

Okay! Ohio Gozimasu (hope that one is right, I learned Japanaese way back in 1995-6, but as I never got a chance to use it, I have messed it all up somewhere in my memory)

That is nice :) Since I am greeting you nighttime (on this part of my world), I would say "Kombanwa thesids san!" Learning Japanese is fun but I won't babble about it now, I don't want to digress from the "birthday topic" of LetranKnight! Ahahaha

I used to greet them and sometimes we held their birthday party. With facebook and cellphone now we just greet them through this medium. Easy and faster..But I admit that greeting cards will have more value in it.(^^)

My brother prefer to send greeting cards to his friends while me I always use the cellphone. I rarely greet through social networking sites as I can read others greet the same thing to that person as well. I admit that it is a bit annoying to get so many messages for the same thing. I think we should bring back the greeting cards phenomenon..I think people will appreciate more and feel happier with it.(^^)

Hi, The best way is simply wish 'Happy Birthday' - It completes all. If you put more decorations, it won't change the meaning. However, depend on the personal relations, it signifies the importance and a hearty wish will make us happy. These days, all become so mechanical, I don't know how people feel on the special day. In all respects, I wish you a peaceful and happy birth day (may be belated). Thank-s

Hello BhabyCatch, Thanks my friend but i guess I was expecting this much since I don't have much party to offer any ways. but the most sweet of that is my brother gave me a pizza even though i don't have that much gift on him during his own birthday. I am simply sending them message, a nice one and a prayer too. What strike me most by your discussion is that I remember that my birthday is fast approaching, my age will then be added, thanks God for that.

Hi Letran, hope you won't feel sad for not getting much birthday greetings from your friends. Maybe because they don't know your birth date, that's why they never greet you. I always greets my friends and relatives with greeting cards if only i knows their birth date. As for me, i don't get much greetings on my birthday as well. Because it was always a public holiday when i want to celebrate my birthday. So, it is usual for me that my friends tends to forget to greet me on my birthday. By the way, hope you have a nice Birthday celebration every year.

Hi Letran Knight: I think these are great ideas to tell someone how much you appreciate him/ her on his/ her special date. That's a nice idea. In my case, I use to write a message on their facebook accounts, make a call and if it's a very special date for me I will also invite this person for a dinner or lunch. ALVARO

Just same here I am being sad when my birthday is approaching, not in the sense of remembering it. I mean because of the same reason as yours. Of course it is still hard to accept but we have to live with it. Anyway I am not creative when greeting somebody though I already have an application on greeting them automatically that is why there are times that I am totally surprised that some people are saying THANK YOU already when I know it for a fact that I didn't even bother to greet them. In my case I am creating a layout with graphic design by saying "Thank You" when people greeted me on my facebook. I really tag them all so that it would be unique.

Happy Birthday, LetranKnight! I don't like to visit Facebook, I feel better here, in myLot and I'd like to wish you all the fantastic things that you can imagine! Years ago I used to be more creative, finding original presents etc. Now I feel tired but recently I decided to fight against this and concentrate on positive thinking. I wish you interesting travels this year too and a fresh mood. Have a nice day!

I do wish my friends on facebook a lot :)) I know it makes me feel good when I get birthday wishes from the people I don't talk much with these days and I hope they fel the same. I mean it just feels really good even if they are just simple words and I hope they feel the same when I wish them too. And nope I don't use fancy words. Just the plain old "Happy Birthday. Have a good one!"

Hello thatgirl, I don't have that much talk these days and even though I do, still don't have much to relate or to tell about. You're right, they are just merely simple words that actually considered really important for some one. have a nice day

Happy Birthday as simple as that, and sometimes i added some wishes and prayers, whether it from text messages, facebook, email or in personal, as long as i greeted them, i just want them to know that i make them how important she/he to me. Sometimes the quiet bday is more meaning for the bday celebrant. Its give more time to think the past year of life, and creating another dreams for the next year of life, sometimes i do take time to be alone and quiet when my birthday comes, i do have time to thank God for giving me another year, and spending another year with his permission. Happy Birthday to you, Hope your birthday blossoms into lots of dreams come true!
