Exhausted

Today I woke up knowing that I had a rather impressive list of household chores to do. I was ready to go and then about and hour ago, I lost my will to do more. I have spent the morning running around, the afternoon cleaning and now when I am supposed to finish my kitchen and start dinner, I am just sooo tired. I wanted to make sure that my daughters and I would have the house clean, the toys put away and dinner warming on the stove. Instead I haven't gotten to vaccumm yet, the floors still need to be done and I haven't even started the bathrooms. You might be wondering why I wanted to make sure that all of this was finished before my husband came home. Well it's because he works 12 hour days and has a shift of 8 days on and 6 days off. He works like a horse and the people that he works with are not always the best to be around. There are times when the only thing that keeps him going is coming home to me and the girls. I always try to make sure that things are clean and organized but sometimes (like today) it's just too much to handle. I am hoping that since me and the girls got the main cleaning done today, tomorrow I will be able to concentrate on other things. I am sorry if I seem to be on a rant, it;s just that I can't talk to anyone and sometimes I just need to come on here and talk. Have you ever felt like that? What do you usually do to get out of your funk?

I can see that you really had a lot of chores to do. I'm sure that you are used to these chores and still sometimes you would feel tired when too many of them come to your mind. It's okay that you tell us about your feeling as we, Mylotters are like a family ourselves. One advise that I can give you is to turn on some relaxing and pleasant music when you're doing chores, it will help you to actually enjoy your time doing chores. At least that's what I do.

Thank you for the advice. I am happy to say that I followed your advice. I was able to relax and clean as I rocked out to some of my favorite tunes. I am so glad that I have my friends here on mylot to help out when I need to rant, or just to have a shoulder to lean on. Thank so much for responding to my discussion. It means a lot to me to have people on here who care about my problems.

i have so much to do today, and here I am on Mylot, although I am not tired as you are I should be doing other things than being on my computer, and probably by the end of the day I will be like you too tired to anything else, hopefully as the day goes on you will get a second wind and sprint along.

Thank you for responding to my descussion. I have had times when I have come on here instead of doing my chores. It is sometimes good to just take a break and bumb out on here.

You have a lot of cleaning to do. But since this was 4 days ago, i hope that everything is done already. I know it's very tiring and very exhausting, especially when you are the only one who cleans the house. Your husband is really a good provider, he works hard for his family, as for you, you make sure that he'll be comfortable when he comes home. That's good. As for me, I always have problems with laundry. LOL. I don't want washing clothes, even though we have washing machine. That's why, every 2 weeks i have tons of laundry to finish. Next time, i'll do it once a week.
