Hey there mylotters how's it going???
Well i would like to share my views about life and how it is now different for the old and the young. Before I used to think time is equal for everybody. I mean it is at same speeds for all people. But getting older and knowing better. I think that time has really changed a lot. Now I feel as if time is going by so fast I'll get left behind but when I see the old It feels like they are trying to get in step with the young and the young are not that equppied to share with the older people.If you ask me maybe it's the time Gap. Time takes too much time of what we do that is why while working time flies bye and a new day comes. While for the old they are just in the hospital in a bed with no visitors sometimes it is the same for when they are on there own and or in a nursing home waiting for the day to just end. Well good thing some of us visit our old so that some of there time are not wasted. How bout you how do you think time differs for you and to others???

Now that i am older, all that i have in mind is for our daughter to become a doctor. After she has done that , for her to have a good husband and children. I look forward to those days, and i can say that getting old is not a lonely process at all. It's exciting because of things you like to have in the days to come.
I also look forward to a graceful retirement days with my husband.

Yes, retirement should be a happy event in our life. That's the time when we can bond well with our family and your friends.
At this early, my friends from abroad are already planning early retirement , so they could come home to the Philippines for a longer period and would just be back once in a while to visit their children settled there.

Hello deodavid,
My thinking in past was that:
Our childhood goes a bit slow because schooling part is quiet lengthy and boring specially if you are not a bright student.
Our youth goes very fast because we have lot of things to do.......collage (including other activities like sports etc) then job, then marriage then children and then bringing up children which is full of so many responsibilities that we don't even realize that we have stepped into our old age..
and then comes old age ,where you suddenly find yourself standing all alone with nothing much to do...if you are luck to be healthy, you may enjoy some more years of life ..........
But now things have changed.....coming of PC and Internet has given equal chance to young and old to enjoy things as per their interest.....Like here on mylot, young can also write and old can also write and express his opinions or even his feelings.It is true that some young people don't like this equal opportunity that old people are getting, but they cannot rule or stop Old generation so easily as old generation has worked hard and earned enough money, respect and status. 
So finally I think today Gap between young and old has become less and they have become more like friends.
