HELP! I wish to delete my response!

I saw this very interesting discussion in MyLot and I went there to post my response. After I finished composing my comment, I pushed the submit button. I don't know what happened anymore, I went away from my computer for a bit to get something to munch on, because the next thing I saw is the screen where you will compose a message blank with my comment. I also forgot that I already clicked the submit button and re-compose my message all over again in the same format I used. (I really do take note of my comments just in case some errors in my connection happened using my notepad.) And when the submission is already over and done with, I saw my "2" posts and now I'm panicking. Isn't it against the rules to do two posts of the same content under a discussion?!

Hit the ! button and report it and say please delete it for double posting. Happens to me. Admin will delete one and leave the other.

Hi there, it's okay you can leave it. It won't mean you're spamming and a lot of other people have problems with their connection too and the result would be two to three same comments. myLot Admin understands that and it won't be a violation. I, myself have had those identical comments too whenever I had this problem in connection. I tried to report my own comment before But now when I see it happen I never mind it.

Really?! You can just leave it as it is? But won't it also affect your earning in MyLot? I mean the more you post, the more you earn, right? Isn't that almost the same as stealing?!

I think they have a system that will actually not count the same comments at all. It is prohibited to post the same comments right? So it is their systems responsibility to check for it as it calculates your earnings for the day. It won't be counted if it sees you have made the same comment Well at least that's what I thought

I was just going to say hit the report button, but I think someone already did that. Don't worry though. I've done that before.

I think it is ok, because i have met the same problem more than once. Sometimes it is because the internet speed is slow, sometimes it is other reasons. I think this kind of responses should take into one response, and won't earn us more cents, but it is ok if both are not copied from others, but from yourself.

There is no way you can delete your post except that you can use ! to told admin that something by mistake you written or posted it. Only admin can deletd any post. The scenario you are describing had happen to me many time but i didn't panic rather i report ! and try to tell admin to deleted it. You need not to get worry about it as this happen to many mylotter and admin here know about. They understand the problem of the user that's why mylot is a good site. I can tell you about my silly mistakes what i did i opened to discusion at a time and them typed my response of both in notepad as like you then then what i posted wrong replies to both of them. I exchanges the replies that was awful i laugh at my stupidity. Well ther are many time i too posted more than twice in same comment.

Wow! I almost had your same experience of interchanging replies between more than one discussion. Good thing I was able to double check them before I decided to really submit my response.

Hi SinfulRose., you don't e worry about this. Mylot will not consider your response as a scam. If you found that mylot deleted your response. you simply post the same response again for the same discussion. simply you leave this silly problem.

You got good help, and great information about Mylot knowing your intention was not to double post, but it is good to clean it up by reporting it yourself. My record is that I had four duplicate posts in a row because the browser hung up. We get along by learning from each other.

I know how you feel. It has never happened to me but what has is I’ve written things I wish I could retract because they are either not written as well as I would have liked or just did not say what I really thought was what I wanted to say. I do it on occasion and end up hoping they will sink down and not get noticed. That is something like pulling the covers over your head hoping the monsters will go a way.

Actually all I did that I would wish to have my post deleted is accidentally making a double post due to some technical issues...though I understand your point of wanting to delete a certain post that contains things you would wish to retract...if I'm not wrong.

Hi SinfulRose, I purposely reposted a post yesterday about my friend being in hospital...and I did because as I was getting ready to send I noticed a misspelling of her name on the subject line...it only counted once....I wasn't trying to steal but I hit the button to quick...so I just reposted with the correct spelling of her name ....I trully didn't try doing anything wrong and I hope the system knows that.......
