Plan changes for my mobile network

Cellphone is necessary thing for our day to day life. It is not easily predict that how does our network adapt for new plans as we get recharge to particular scheme? I think that there is a controller program for every number and it will maintain our scheme and validity for our network? Sim is only one. If we have changed to new plan, without changing the circuits in sim, it will adapted to new scheme. How is it possible? Do you have any idea about this?

Each sim works as the brain of the phone. Your number links you to your mobile account. If you make a change, then the phone will adapt accordingly, because of the information from your number. The only time you have to change a sim card is if one of two things happen. Your phone becomes lost or stolen, or even more rare the sim card is damaged. Generally, since all account info is linked to your mobile number, as long as you don't change your number, once the new sim is activated with your number, the phone will read your account info and act accordingly.

No I dont have any idea about this but it seems like this should be a problem for the network provider to consider
