Employee Motivation

Closely related to employee satisfaction and morale, employee motivation may be considered both an action and a status. The action occurs when management takes steps to foster a work environment where employees are self-driven to perform their job tasks at a level that meets or exceeds management's standards. Employee motivation as a status simply describes the degree to which management succeeds; employees are relatively motivated or unmotivated when measured against one or more performance gauges. Sad to say for almost 4 months we are actually deprived of conducive working environment. I'm just so freaking fed up with this situation. It only goes to show that the welfare of their employees are actually one of their least priorities.

It is sad to note that there are companies like that. But it all boils down to management. For me, one of the greatest asset that the company have is its workforce, its people. That is why I think the welfare of the employees should be the first thing on the list. But most companies are more of profit oriented and tend to disregard the employees. If assuming that rights are violated or perhaps there are some malpractice in labor relations, I think it should we worthwhile to make a complaint to the corresponding agency. But before going into such action, then maybe a simple talk or meeting with the management is all it needs to let them know of the concerns.

We're planning to set a meeting with our Manager about it, we will try to convince them not to lease out our supposedly office to one of our affiliates. Indeed our company is profit oriented and tend to disregard their employees.

Is there any way you could collectively bring this up with management? Sometimes companies suffer because of poor managers, and there's a possibility that the absence of a conducive environment is due to poor decisions and prioritizing of the manager. I mean, human resources might have mapped out ways to motivate the employees but it's the manager who neglects implementing these.

We have been bringing this up to the management and honestly they are aware of our poor situation. Unfortunately our supposedly new office will be lease out again to one of our affiliates. It's just so unfair having a conducive working environment should have been one of the top priorities of the management.

I don't know of any job that is out there that the workers become motivated for. Most people work for the money, not the love of what they do. If the passion is not there, they will not be motivated. If you are doing something you truly love, the motivation is automatic.

Employers should definitely create a good working environment and should definitely deal with their employee in a good way. Hence, employees should never be taken for granted...because without us, then the company will never be fully established. We also don't have a good working environment but compared to the other companies, we should definitely be thankful. Though our compensation is not that much but they aren't pressuring us that much like every time or everyday. Happy Mylotting!
