Hello. For my English contest at school I have to prepare a lot. As there will be oral part, I have to practice describing photos. And I have a huge problem with that! I just don't know what to say, all of known adjectectives seem to be running out of my head. I can't think of any topic to sustain my monologue. Any advices? How were you practising?

Well just remember that describing photos is your own opinion and sometimes to look at it more than once will always help and remember that photos arent subbosed to be waht others thing of it as but what you think of it as. Artisits make captures so that people can relate tothem in there own way and to have tehre own opinion on it and not everyone has the same opinion on it and a matter of fact sometimes there are millions of meanings to a photo so whatever you come up with is going to be write no matter what.

You are right, however I just have no idea what to say. I see this picture - "oh yeah, a beach and a sunny sky" and It's hard for me to tell anything more. I will try to keep your advices and practice, practice, practise!

It is really hard to describe things especially when you are not used to it. But since you are asked to, why not practice for it? Basically, describe the things that you see right from the picture. Don't say many words. Two or three words are enough. Just be straigtforward. Good luck!
