Phineas and Ferb

I love cartoons that are made for kids but adults can also enjoy. One of them is my new favorite cartoon - Disney's Phineas and Ferb. Although the setting is very generic - the brothers will invent something, Candice will try to bust them and fail and Perry the Platypus will stop whatever Doofensmirtz was inventing - it still is a bit fun with the humor not made entirely with the kids in mind. Do you watch this series? I've read somewhere that they are planning a live action for this series as well. Will it be a good one you think?

I don't think a live action version of the cartoon would be a good idea. The wackiness would likely be dumbed down and how will they do Perry's role? CGI? I don't think it is a hot idea, I'd prefer an animated move over a live-action. In my mind, every time they've attempted this, it just turns into a sitcom that can't capture the cartoony antics but tries to compensate with faked expressions and lines. I really don't want to see this happen to Phineas and Ferb... Anyways, I like the cartoon series, it is funny, it is clever, and it is smart. I think the humor is pretty good and is not dumb nor is is over kids' heads, is a nice balance that the family can watch. They did well with this series and it leaves me having a hard time deciding my favorite character, because all have their pros, especially Ferb who's one line is often a smart one-liner. :)

I find it weird that I didn't notice Ferb didn't speak a lot. I've watched a couple of episodes before I figure out that he was just speaking a few lines as you've mentioned. It's just that Phineas' line apply to both of them sometimes so Ferb no longer need to say anything. But my favorite part is when someone will tell Ferb how silent he was and before he can answer they will interrupt him which will eventually leads to more one liner from Ferb. (E.g. A Character said to ferb: "So, you don't speak much, do you?", Ferb said "Actually..." and he was interrupted immediately.)

It is his running gag in the series, and honestly, it works very well for him. He often only says ONE line per episode, rarely two. Though, in Rollercoaster: The Musical... he had three. Oh well, enough of nerd facts. XD I will say I do get a lot of enjoyment from this cartoon but since I've lost my DirectTV, I'm no longer able to watch it as regularly as I once did.

I hate cartoons for kids today...BUT....Phineas and Ferb... that one is really good nad I do enjoy watching it. Silly to say, but it is created so nicely. Poor Candice..she is always trying to expose her brothers, yet they never seem to mind or let on to her! It is clean, funny humor. I hope they don't ruin it and make it live action. They do stuff like that all the time and it just ruins the original.

Yeah I agree. Even with Jim Carrey as Dr. Heinz Doofensfergshdffhsd (or however his name was spelled) LOL! It won't still do justice to the live action film. And even if they hire Miley Cyrus as Perry the Platypus, I will still prefer the cartoons. haha

If you think thats a good show then you should watch Recess, thats a fantastic cartoon. There's a lot of cartoon's from my childhood that are a thousand times better than what is on Disney now. The quality of Disney was so much better when I was a child. Lizzie Mcguire, Even Stevens, every disney show I turn on now is not very good. I don't know why their always pop stars and wizards, where's the Lizzie's these days? lol Cartoons I would suggest are, as I said, Recess, Rugrats, Braceface, As Told By Ginger, Rocket Power, and there's plenty more but those are good to start off if your thinking about looking up other good kids cartoons that are also enjoyable for adults.

I remember Recess and Rugrats. I used to love them when I was young. I don't remember the others though. I guess they weren't shown here in our country.

I like cartoons, even i'm kinda old. My friend's son will asked me, "why are you still watching cartoons, don't you think you're too old?" I looked at him and answered "because i'm cool!" LOL. I was just joking with that kid. Phineas and Ferb are also cool cartoon. They're funny. Especially candice who can't bust them. LOL. Really they're planning a live action series? well, who's gonna play the platypus. LOL.

That gag was used by Candace in the movie to stop Dr. D's evil plan. Kinda smart plot. Since everytime Candace try to bust her brothers, the inventions all go away, she try to bust them at the end and it works. Haha!

I've just watched the Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd dimension movie and it was awesome. It was like I'm watching a live action sci fi, comedy and action movie in one, actually better than Transformers. :) I love the part where Major Monogram's shower time was used as a distraction. That was really disturbing that even the villains can't stand to watch it. LOL! My favorite line though, was also Major Monogram's: "I'm not crying, I'm sweating through my eyes!"

My sister is actually the one who got me hooked into watching this show. I didn't really like it before because I thought it was just another cartoon but if it's shown every morning and you're stuck watching it, you have no choice but to give it a chance..lol. Anyway, I came to love it and both Phineas and Ferb. But I don't think the live action would be a good idea. I hope they just stick with the cartoon.

For me it's my brother. Since I already have a daughter, she is constantly watching cartoons from Disney Junior but when I changed the channel to Disney, my brother ask me not to change it back to Disney Junior because it was already Phineas and Ferb. And the rest was history! Haha.
