Losing Business

Friends. It has often been said that should we intend to start a business of our own, it should be something related to what we really like eg buying and selling... I am curious... if, for example, you started a buy & sell business, and it seems that you are not making much profit from it, would you stop that business? How long should we hang on?

I would agree with that view. Doing something that you don't like, hoping to earn money for that will not go anywhere. I believe it is crucial for us to take calculated risk in business - for there is no free lunch. I would suggest that if your business are not getting much profit after some time (a year would be sufficient for me), you are to quit it immediately. Don't simply quit in the first months, because that is the time when your customer is taking in your presence. Quitting then just simply means killing your business buds when it is going to blossom.
