Good thing to do is to use another browser. Firefox, chrome and opera are the browsers i would recommend to you. But you also have to make sure that your internet connection is working properly. If the connection keeps on going down that could also be a cause.

YOu must first determine if it's actually the browser itself giving you the problem, or if it's your internet connection itself. Cannot find the webpage is an indacator that the server might be busy, or the connection isn't sending and receiving information, or rather enough information required to locate and download the webpage. Try restarting your computer (and if possible your internet connection) to clear memory. Clear your browser cashe regurally, history included as well. Be sure you aren't cloging your system slowing down the browsing experance. Try using firefox when you have the problem. If firefox keeps doing the same thing. Its not internet explorer, its your connection. In which case, you need to have a conversation with your provider. The ISP where you are getting the internet may know how to troubleshoot your system.

do you have many toolbars installed? if so first uninstall unwanted.. also check there is not any spyware in your system.. if your net working fine with firefox then I suggest that you reinstall IE8.. and go to Tools Menu - Internet Option - under connections tab.. LAN Setting.. check automatic detect proxy.

I am not of any help because I know nothing about computer this and that. Some times if I have the same problem with you, I just leave the computer because I am helpless. I cannot do anything with the same myself too! I have to wait for my son to fix everyhting before I resume. Poor me!

why you want to stick with IE 8 is microsoft paying you? Well get rid of the the bullsh*t browser or live in dirty with your problematic IE. Go download either chrome best or not opt for firefox these are fast and better options.

The problem is within cache and internet temporary files! You need to clear this within internet explorer or use a freeware as CCleaner! I hope this help!
