SITUATION: This is a make-believe scene but a true-to-life situation. You were awakened from your deep slumber because your house or room is nearly consumed by fire. Instinctively, you run out to save yourself, but remember your darling 2-year old daughter asleep alone in her room. Will you still attempt to get inside your house to save your baby despite the heat and wrath of the raging inferno?

Im a mom and I do have a daughter I would never just run out of the house to save myself with out taking my daughter with me. If for some reason I forgot hell yeah I would run back in there and get my daughter or die trying. My daughter is my world to me and my husband and we would try places with her in a heart brat in sistiations like this.

That's the kind of mother, father and parents that we would like to raise- decisive and fearless. May your tribe increase!

in my opinion, I would save my child even though the fire had burned the whole house, because for the sake of my child, I was willing to die to save my child.

Yes, I do believe in mother instinct. Mothers do whatever the consequences are for the child. Cheers!

I would definitely go back. If I could. And to tell you the truth I would not have left without my child to begin with. She would be my first priority. Not there are situations where its impossible to go back into the home. In that case I would have no choice but to leave it in the hands of the fire fighter and rescue. ~C~

Let's make the point clear. Firefighters and rescue are impossible here. The fire is too close. Will you still dare to go back and save the child?

I would try to save everyone I can, especially if it was my 2-year old daughter. Despite the risk, I would never, NEVER, let that go without going to get her. I never could just save myself. I'd understand the risks involved but I must make the effort, try to put thought over fear and try to navigate my blazing home to get her out safely too. I couldn't wait for emergency response because by then it'd probably be too late. It is one of those situations where you got to do something now...

Thanks for the response. You've shown to the community the kind of personality that you are- responsible, courageous, compose and cool in the face of calamity. Bravo!
