Hello i'm planning to go to Canada, and want to hear if anybody knows a cheap way to do this. I'm living in europe so I have to travel with plane. I would like to see a lot of local stuff in canada, but also go skiing. Do anybody know some cheap local tricks or something else worth knowing for a first traveller to Canada? Thanks.

I was born and raised in Canada. The best place to ski is in Whistler but it`s quite expensive. Second best is Quebec cause we have plewnty of snow. I live in Montreal...the night life, the history, the skiing is wonderful and affordable. Hotels are on every street corner and most ofd them charge a decent price.

Sounds really nice, maybe it will be next year, we're going to visit Canada. We have found a reasonable priced ski trip to austria :)

I live in England and I flew on a return flight from London to Vancouver in Canada in 2010. I know prices are lower outside the main cities. I think a train pass would be a good idea if you want to travel a lot in Canada because otherwise train fares are not so cheap. I suggest you might like Vancouver Island because it is very beautiful. There are places to ski in the Rocky Mountains. I read Lonely Planet Canada to help me plan my lovely trip there. Good luck with your superb trip to Canada.

Thanks yeah maybe I should check out train prices, and travel around with that, good idea. It should be cheaper than renting a car. Btw we're talking about a travel for a month or so, and the local stuff I wanna see, is mostly the beautiful nature, and that shouldn't be the most expensive think to explore. Any advice is welcome, thanks.

I want to migrate to Canada. I heard that people there are nice and they are not racist. I am planning to live the Philippines in 10 years time and I hope my dreaming of going to Canada will come true
