Your dream pet/s.

When I was a kid I always wanted a turtle to be a pet, when I had one I always feed it with those leafy vegetables and some pellets. One time when I was cleaning it's aquarium and I put him in the basin, after an hour of cleaning, my turtle was not on the basin anymore. I tried to look for it even went outside to check if the turtle walked there, but there was no trace of him. I cried because it is my first pet and he ran away.. After 2 months, my moms bestfriend gave her puppy to us, it was a japanese bred dog and I forgot the name, but I will be able to remember it if I saw a picture of the dog. When I watch Discovery Channel, there was a topic about animals in the cold, then there I saw a penguin. I was so fascinated by it because it is cute. I asked my father if he had extra money, he could buy me a penguin as a gift. My aunt laughed at my request, I was confuse at that time, and they said if they were able to buy it where will I keep it and how will I feed it. I said that we have a lot of fish and our relatives from the province can send fish and I can keep him in the freezer as long as I teach it not to eat all of the cold cuts in the freezer. And they just all laughed, for me it was not a laughable matter because I really wanted a penguin as a pet. After I learned about penguins, I realized that they can't stay in a heat island like our country because they are going to die. But, I always wanted one and I am stuck with a huge penguin stuff toy that my aunt gave me for my birthday. It is nice to dream to have the the animal that you ever wanted to be your pet. But as long as I can imagine that I have a pet penguin, I am good. How about you? If you had a chance to pick any animal in the world to be your pet, what would it be?

It would be nice to see a real one.. But it is not bad to dream to have a pet like a dragon. :)

It would be pretty amazing but I just don't know where I would keep and I'm pretty sure that most vets wouldn't go near it but I guess on the bright side it would never get stolen :D

I agree! penguins look kind of cute. but i think i am not going to be interested in keeping them. i am not into exotic animals as well. i like the cuddly ones better. =) so i am still sticking to pugs, shih tzu.... hehe. i still am going to choose dogs. besides i think i would be really scared to take a wild animal as pet. =)

this is a fascinating story. you sound very innocent and sincere in your desire to have a penguin pet. well, i always like to have a bird for a pet, a parrot in particular. but i never have one. that was when i was still a kid. now, it does not make sense to me having a parrot as a pet. but i am still fascinated looking at parrots. i think that fascination will never go away. that will always tickle the kid in me.

I still prefer the Man's bestfriend. I like dogs. It doesn't matter what breed a dog is, I would still keep one if I have the opportunity. I can't do so in my current address since pets aren't allowed but we always have at least 1 dog at my parents' house in the province. However, if you're going to ask me to just choose one breed of dog, I will definitely pick a Labrador Retriever.

I always wanted a chinchilla, which you can get domesticated here. They are fairly expensive and need a large cage. My parents never allowed me to have one as we had 2 dog a cat and a hamster. Maybe I will get myself one eventually but they also take a lot of work. Very cute story of the penguin though!

My family has only two (2) dogs as pets and they are Snuffles and Tsu-tsu. They're such good pets and we love them so much.
