Any Advice??

In about three weeks I will be moving out of state. I'm very excited about it, but also very nervous! I have applied at a few apartment complexes, but afraid I won't be approved since I haven't actually landed a job there yet. LUCKILY, I have met a girl online that is going to let me stay with her for a week or so, so I can go down and job hunt. If I still can't find an apartment, being her roommate may be an option, even though I would really rather have my own place. The reason I am moving is because my boyfriend is in this city on a military base for his Tech School training, and I am 3 months pregnant, and this way he will be able to make some of my doctors appointments, and he will be able to be there when the baby is born. I'm saving up money right now, and really budgeting. Any advice on trying to get a job before moving or advice on apartment searching?? Any advice is appreciated! (: Also, has anyone else been in a similar situation? Oh, and I almost forgot.. he won't be allowed to leave base for another month, so I am on my own! The good thing about it though is that when he finally is allowed off base, I will be there.

you really need to be careful because you are pregnant. If you work make sure its easier work and less stressful.Yes you need to save money for the baby when it will be born .I admire you for thinking this one before the baby goes out because when the baby is born lot of expenses to do.

why don't you ask with your boyfriend about the apartment,he may have some contacts there. And about your job,I think its better to take rest in the pregnancy condition.you should give a chance to your boyfriend to take care of your family.

You sure got a lot going on in the next few months. Just be sure to take it easy since you are expecting. You dont want to put to much stress on yourself. It will make your baby generally a happy baby the happier and less stressed you are. Have you asked your boyfriend to help out with you getting an apartment? You will need all the financial help you can get because you wont be able to work after 6 months or less if the docs tell you. My suggestion to getting things secure when you get there is to consult craigslist. There are always job postings as well as apartments, furniture and other housing needs. Good luck !!

It is exciting in your life at the moment with you expecting a baby and be moving to a different state. It is lovely that you are moving to be closer to your boyfriend. Good luck with saving up as much money as possible. I suggest looking in newspapers and employment agencies for work. I hope that you will rest a lot of the time considering you are pregnant. It is interesting your boyfriend is at a military base for his Tech school training. I wish you a happy rest of your pregnancy and an easy time setting in your new area. Good luck.

If you don't have a job, don't set your expetations too high. You aren't going to get very far if you can't pay the rent month after month. Get a smaller place, (since it might be you alone for a while), and make sure you make your dollar's streach. Getting a job is key, and you should spend your free time hunting. A common tip for job hunting, makie it your job to find a job. Get orgnized and spend as much as time as possible hitting the streets and putting in application after application. Be honest, but blunt. You don't want to look under qulified, but at the same time you don't want to have a chip on your shoulder either making it look that you're too good for anything. Being pregnant complicates things. Beforthcoming about your pregnancy and find out what policyies are in place to help you out. Most jobs try to avoid hiring pregnant women, but they can't not hire you because you're pregnant. Find out about maternity leave etc, see what benifits aforded to you. You'll require a lot of time for doctor's appointments and such, and you need to make yourself seem reliable. Consider online earnings, do research for work-at-home jobs, to help suplemt income so that you have something where you set your own hours.
