How do you handle stress?

Stress is good if it motivates us to work quickly. However when it makes you ill or unable to concentrate, that is a not so good thing. If I feel stress of my work, I usually stay at home and sleep whole day. Just to energize myself again. Sometimes I go to the mall or to the beach. I try to make a time to relax and enjoy myself. Would you like to share your way of handling stress?

hey champoyski, I also do go to the mall to see different people, different items, i normally go to the hardware store it calms me down and helps me with my ideas on renovations in apartments that i try to design.

There are many things that we can do in the mall to enjoy ourselves. The things that I do in the mall are eating, strolling and playing in arcade. It is relieving. It makes me energized and feel stress-free. Happy mylotting!

when I'm stressed I eat sweets or listen to music or sometimes I talk to my friends or if I have extra money I'll go to a spa and have a nice massage.

I know other people prefer to go to a spa before it relaxes their body. It is also a great way to relief from stress. I would surely try that if I have extra money in my pocket. Thanks for participating in my discussion. I like your suggestions.

I handle stress by praying, I used to attend prayer meetings every Thursday and Friday, that really help. When I feel tired, stressed and depressed I just give my burdens to Lord. I use to ask him "Lord please comfort me. I'm so upset and don't know what to do". I also read bible and relate my situations in some characters there who had experienced more trials compared to me and yet they don't complain. Sometimes the Lord is just testing us, our faith and our capacity to stand firm despite those storms that we suppose to pass through before we reach the end of our journey... In this world we can never find real peace. It's only when the Lord comes again and "rescue us from sufferings in this world", we could have real peace of mind and happiness. It's a good thing thing though that sometimes we experience stressful situations for us to learn and grow. Imagine a life without stress we will just take everything easy. We won't work hard to be as effective as we should be.

Wow. you must be religious. Aren't you? I like the way you handle stress. It is also a good way to participate in prayer meetings. You can socialize with other people and make new friends. I haven't tried to join in any prayer meeting as I am busy on my work. But sometimes I do attend Sunday Mass. It is great to spend at least 1 hour to God. Happy mylotting!

Hello Champ, There are many ways to handle the stress.When i get stressed i try to indulge myself in the things which i enjoy most like playing with the kids.Going out for brisk walk,listening music,watching TV,talking to friend,going out with friend are few of the methods people do to overcome stress.And the best way is to sleep when someone is stressed which normally i do when i am highly stressed.

Yes, actually that is the best way to refresh your mind and body if you are stressed. Do what you like and what is fun to you. I sleep whole day if I feel I am highly stressed. Sometimes I go to the beach if I want to be relaxed and have some fresh air. It's relieving.

Mind exercise is one of a good method avoid stress, simple it all about subconscious. It is mean that subconscious helps in making decisions and actions calmly without hesitating. This is how doing a yoga teaches to attain a subconscious. Sounds weird, but this is why people are become madly when get stress. Other than this, do one thing at a time. People are get stress easily because they won't focus to any one thing at a time. Just relax your mind a minutes and get start back your work or take a cup of coffee. This much better for a moment. I suggest go for an outing with family or friends. This will definitely can change your mood and a good way to relieve stress. You will free of stress that time sure. The most i do is exercising. It is an excellent stress buster. Try often doing exercise and keep healthy and out of stress too. Some time take a time go for theater or shopping, good too. This is what i often do in my daily life to avoiding a stress and definitely we can live without stress and manage it.

How can I do mind exercise? I'm sorry I don't have an idea about this. I hope you could share it to me and other mylotters. There are times that I do focus on many things. I've observed that I get headache and easily loses my energy. It makes me weak easily and unable to stay focus on my work well. Go outing wit friends is a good idea. It's good to have a great time with other people to relax yourself and keep yourself out of stress for a while. I've tried that and it really worked to me. Happy mylotting!

When am stressed i just block everything from my mind and seek some solitude, preferably in a place i can watch a television with some background music.

Yes, that is also what I am doing every time I am stressed. I try to block everything from my mind and make it empty. I usually go to sleep and regenerate my energy. I also try to watch television but most of the time I get myself asleep.

i sleep or see a movie. after sleeping, i feel renewed. watching movie carries me away from reality so it helps my mind to be at ease sometimes.

I do feel the same way too. If I sleep most of the time I feel renewed and refreshed. It feels like I am energized again and ready to do work. Watching movies is also a great option. But I am not fond of watching movies. So, I prefer to sleep whole day than watching movies. Happy mylotting!

The easiest thing to do when relieving stress is just to take a nice step back. Take a nice deep breath and really try and unwind just a tiny bit. There are just going to be a lot of times where stress is really going to be something where I really just need to think about what is happening and try and deal with each individual thing on a case to case basis. Barring that, I tend to take a nice walk, to collect my thoughts. There is just something about fresh air that is going to calm a person. That is going to really calm myself to say the least. Also writing tends to ease my nerves and listening to music. Of course, there are times where I am just going to have to deal with a lot of stress, dealing with one thing at a time that is causing me stress.

Yes, I agree with you. Getting some fresh air is really a good way to relieve stress. It makes yourself calm and relaxed. The best place for this is in the beach. I like taking fresh air in the beach. It is cool and very refreshing. Happy mylotting!

I play video games to relief stress. I get so into the story of the games that I completely forget about my stress. If I can't play video games or just don't feel like playing, then I would read a book. If I don't feel like reading a book, then I usually sleep. Those three are the most helpful for me to relief some stress that I deal with.

I also find playing games in my cellphone a good way to relief stress. It is fun and very enjoying. Unfortunately, all of the games are only trial. I have to purchase the full version yet to fully enjoy the games. I admit that I don't really read books. I am not a bookworm. I wish I could be like you. Happy mylotting!

There are two kinds of stress. 1. Eustress- is is the kind of stress that is on the positive side. This is the kind of stress that would help us improve to do better 2.Distress- this kind of stress is the negative one. When it comes to this, it can have a bad effect on our health. I just wanted to let you know that stress is individualized. What's stressful to me is not stressful to others. We are all different and our body's coping mechanism is also different. There are a lots of ways to handle stress. First is to smile, Take it easy and do not pressure yourself. Try to have some massage.

I wish I can only have the Eutress. It could help me to improve myself and get my works done quickly. I don't want to have Distress. It makes me ill and unable to focus on my job. I agree that smiling is also a good way to relieve stress and get yourself energized. Happy mylotting!

I am currently enrolled in a Personality Development class. Our class was divided to the four aspects of personality. I belong to the Moral Group. Each group shall undergo a seminar workshop. From this subject, I learned so many things already and one of this is how we handle when we will stress. But for me, I deal with stress when I think I can't seem to focus anymore. I take a break.I want to relax myself so that I my body will loosen up a bit.

I have so much stress in my life n i have a few ways u handle it however, they don't always work for me. When I'm under a low amount of. stress I like to take a hot bath with all the lights off and a candle lit. I also play music. Another thing that gelps me with low/moderate stess is hot teas of certain aromas. Usually anything with cinnamon work. When I am under an extreme amount of stress I have to be alone to avoid snapping on those close to me. I usually sit in bed in the dark with music playing. This doesn't take away any stress for me but it allows me to cool off until I can handle being calm enough around some to talk about what's eating away at me

hi! stress is everywhere.. whatever your doing whenever you are ,, you cant avoid being in a stressful situation,, I usually do deep breathing exercise, to recharge my blood cells allowing me to breathe easily.. another more I don't think about it that much, what i mean is I divert my attention to something just to forget it .. Best way to relieve stress,, SMILE! :)

Yes, stress is everywhere no matter what you are doing. I don't like to get stressed from work. I feel much pain in my neck and my back. It makes me unable to concentrate on my work. Take a deep breath is also a good way. Thanks for responding! Happy mylotting.

stress is the most i hate to have during my work time because it makes my temper hot and easy to get mad,so sometimes when i feel i am stress i will go outside for a short minute to relax my mind and calm down my self,and that really helped me.

hi champoy! Yes work is just stressing sometimes. I think everybody is feeling so stress and burn out sometimes. When i feel stress, i also just want to sleep and listen to some good music like alternative or rock song. Or sometimes, i just spend my whole day watching movies and animes, But going to the beach is the best anti stress for me. It relaxes me, i'll just sit there and watch the waves and watch the sunset or sunrise. It keeps me away from everything that stresses me.

Yes I agree with you. It makes you ill if you are too stressed for work. There are times that I do feel dizzy. You have a great way of relieving from stress.
