Still wishing to have a daughter

I have two kids, both boys. 6 years old and 2. I've been wanting and praying that I'd be given baby girl in time. I was a bit sad when I learned that my second baby was a boy again, but I love and adore him so much now. I just don't want to expect too much the next time, if ever there will still be a chance. Are you contented with your set of children or hoping like me too?

I only have one son. When I do have my own family, I want to have a son and daughter too. I really wanted to have a daughter so that I can dress her like a doll.

I'm in the opposite boat, I have a 4 year old and a six week old. Both are girls and I love them dearly but I was really hoping for two boys. I don't plan on having anymore so it's a little sad for me. Have you considered trading? Lol

Hi there alicasalinks, Well for me of course i would always consider my children as God's blessing and love them deeply but i wish to have both boys and girls, if placed in your shoes maybe i will be a little more hopeful to get a girl and maybe try some techniques to ensure that somehow I get a girl, but if not after 3 tries maybe it's not alloted for me so I'll be happy with boys or girls only , good-luck!

I not worried. What I get is what I get I'm not going to pray or hope. It is what it is nothing more and nothing less. I'll love what every I can have. I have one daughter and excited to welcome a second baby into our lives what ever it maybe boy or girl I have names ready and plans for the baby room.

Hi aicasalinks, many many years ago when I was having children, I was just happy about having children and did not have any preference...Just wanted the births to be trouble free and my children were normal...and thanks to God....everything went great!!!!

well i am not married so cannot say or hope for anything rather than just congratulating you!!! i can wish you all the happiness in life with your two sons. well being a daughter i can understand that its a different feeling altogether. though you cannot have your daughter with you all through your life as she will be married someday and will leave you for her own life and family. but when you have two sons you can have two daughters in the form of "daughter-in-law" .well that time you can have a complete family. this is one advantage of having son, you see. you do not have to get separated until they want you to.

Yes, I am. I also have 2 kids, both of them boys. My oldest is 14 and my youngest is 11. I love my kids dearly, but don't wish to have anymore. I'm content with the 2 that I have. I don't need to have a daughter to make my family whole. My husband on the other hand felt that we needed one for some time. But I think he's finally come to the realization that our 2 are more than enough for us. Happy mylotting!

I have only one kid, a son, and we're really contented with him. We're planning to have another one but it doesn't matter if the child would be a boy or a girl. But I think it's normal for parents to wish for kids of different sexes. Usually moms hope for a girl, dads hope for a boy. But regardless of the outcome, both are still happy and would dote on their children. Although I believe there are still parents from some cultures who prefer to have male children only.

Congratulation you have given two prince beside you, I imagine they are so cute and funny. In your case, it is so normal. Each human has their own expectation about their life and if you have expectation to have both boy and girl, it will make you feel as now. If I have been mother I want to have both boy and girl too. I think by having both boy and girl it will my life more complete and great

I am content with my children now but during both of my pregnancies I always wanted the opposite. When I was pregnant with my son I really wanted a little girl whom I could spoil rotten! Me and my husband had a $20 bet going LOL and when we found out we were having a boy I was disappointed but thankful that I had a healthy baby and would love him regardless! My second pregnancy was a complete surprise! But because I already had a son I was hoping for another boy because in my opinion boys are easier than girls and when we found out it was a girl I again was disappointed but excited at the same time...because I had always wanted a girl and my wish finally came true! Don't worry you just might get lucky....a cousin of mine always wanted a girl but had 4 boys before she finally got her girl and now her and husband have closed up shop LOL!!!
