How do I start my Social Network from my pen-name to promote my articles?

The title says it all I guess. I want to start a social network with all the popular social networking sites, with my pen name. How do you suggest I go about it? I do not want my friends (Personal) ones to know at first really, but if they come to know about it from other sources, it's well and good.
