Once upon a time I would never use fake plants in my house but when I got my new proch built a couple of people told me not to put real plants out there as they rot the flooring and such so I looked around and found these plants that you actually have to touch to see if they are real or not, there are such beautiful looking plants out there these days...I do have two real plants on my porch but because it gets so hot here they always look droopy so these days I am all for real looking fake..Anyone have any nice fake plants???

That is very nice and I couldn't tell at all that they were fake plants. I am not one that has a green thumb so for a while I did play with the idea of fake plants...not a lot of them but just enough to decorate a little. I love that room.

No, we do not have any Fake plants here where we live. I do not have any real either as this has never been something I am good in being able to do. I have considered doing Flowers though, but even those can be work. The plants you have look nice, and do look real. Just never considered doing something like that for looks.

Not me lilac, they are so demned expensive! A short while back, a young couple moved into a tiny place a few doors down. Walking past one day I noticed a fence was up half way down the yard and there were colourful flowers in a row along the fence line. It was a few seconds before I realised they were plastic!! They sure looked fake but it was a better look than a bare yard with a fence...sort of whimsical in a way.

There are some lovely catcus plants and such that can with stand the heat. I used to use fake flowers years ago but not fake plants. I make bouquets out of herbs and all sorts of things. I used to have my entire window full of plants and never had a problem. Just depends on which plants. Venus Fly Traps are cool plants and keep the bugs down too.

Over the years I too have gone from real plants to artificial plants. Like you said you have to touch them in order to see if they are real or not. Some plants still look fake, so I just watch for the ones that look like they are real. I think years ago I had more patience to putz with real plants. But, as I have gotten older I would rather have an artificial plant that looks full and healthy, than a droopy real plant.

I had one that the roomie's mom said - "your plant looks really nice" the roomie said "its fake" she didn't believe it until she touched it, and she was looking at it from inches away! That one wore out and now I have another, getting ready to wear out - probably replace it this spring - hey - 3-4 years isn't bad!

When I was young my grandmother always had fake plants and flowers around her house. Back then fake plants really looked fake. I swore I would never have them in my house. BTW she also had plenty of real ones, too. In the winter out house looked like a jungle. I'm pretty sure, now, that that is why we stayed so healthy through the winter months. Anyway, now that technology has caught up and fake flowers have become so life like I have relaxed my vow and occasionally have some pretty arrangements in the house. I remember one time, at a doctors office, me and my husband got into a discussion about a certain plant. He said it was fake and I said it was real. Since he was paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair he couldn't reach out and touch the plant so finally I pinched off a small branch to take over to him and prove my point. Then I took it home and rooted it and started my own plant.

Your fake plants really look genuine, Lilaclady lady.By your leave,I don't like fake plants and have never beautified my room with them.Growing plants can not only beautify our room but also purify air by the photosynthesis of plants. However the fake plants don't photosynthesize.
