L.A. Noire boring or just me?

I finally got my PS3 last week and purchased L.A. Noire because I had seen a couple commentaries about it on Youtube and the game looked pretty fun. After playing it off and on a couple of days, it started to get routine and boring. I think mid-game the excitement went up only a notch and then back down again. I was kind of disappointed in all of it, but I played it through to the end (don't even get me started on the ending), mainly because it was the only game I had to play at the time. I do have to say, though, the character graphics are spot on, very realistic, and the celebrity cameos were great, as well. So, is it just me or is L.A. Noire a bit of a bore? Maybe it just wasn't my type of gameplay.

I haven't played L.A. Noire yet, but it does look like a good game. I have heard a lot of it is talking though. Generally I don't like it when there is a lot of talking, but it still looks like a good game. I think L.A. Noire looked like GTA set in the 40s, but it was more of a puzzle game, so perhaps it mislead some people. Though there was a lot of coverage on the game.
