Too much loss of resale jewelry

I have set as a ring by 75%, on which is mounted a large stone and a row of small stones. Rings are slightly higher, causing inconvenience for me to wear it. So I want to sell the other to buy a ring. However, when I asked the jewelry store they said I would suffer losses up to 24% if I sell! With that money, I can not buy a beautiful ring as a present. So I hit the ring and will keep saving money to buy a new one.

Thank you. Maybe I'll have a jewelry collection in the future if I keep all my jewelry items now :)

I used to think that jewelry is a good investment because their price might appreciate, but I think it really depends on how the market works. As what I've read online gold is starting to depreciate.

yes your right you will loss a lot if you resale the item but maybe try to sale it not to jewelry store but just to certain individual who doesnt know the exact value of the item as if they really are interested to it then they will grab it just try to clean it to look new unless theres few scraches on it. i used ot sell one before and i got more than the exact value though of course i didnt tell them how much i bought it but i only tell them the price includes my memories in it or i have sentimental value to it so they appreciate the price. but then you can also keep the item and give it toyour kids in the future somehow they will love it.
