I am making this program for our Seminar Workshop in my subject Personality Development. I am tasked for this along with the making of video presentations for the National Anthem and Invocation Prayer. In the middle of program-making, I am confused with which should comes first. Is it the National Anthem or Invocation?
Thanks in advance mylotters!

hi cearn
I think the rules and sentiments of the people attending should be given a preference. There are some countries where the Anthem Goes First - and the sentiments run strong - so if you put it second, you might face severe objections and unhealthy criticism.
Personally, National Anthem should precede just because it is more universal than many religions in the country and as it is a students meet/seminar, you are surely going to have students from different religions of the country as participants

Yes it did helped me a lot. The 1st day of the program was a success although there are only few of my classmates attended because of they are afraid of the aftershocks of the earthquake. Hoping by the 2nd day there will be a lot who will see our seminar.

Good thing my audience are just my classmates. I have decided to take National Anthem first then the Invocation song. It is really important to make it sure what should comes first knowing that my audience will somehow put an emphasis on it. Thank you thesids. I learned a lot from you.

Thank you for your suggestions Leinrix. I have to decide now what should I put first. Actually I have printed already the program and there in the program, I put first the invocation then the national anthem. I am just confused on what should be the flow between these things.

Invocation usually comes first. After the prayer, the emcee would say, "please remain standing for the singing of the national anthem." I think it helps to remember that love of God should come before love of country.

I guess invocation prayer should comes first. This is what I've observed when I joined in a seminar. After the prayer, the emcee will tell the people to remaining standing and sing the national anthem. I hope this helps you!

Thank you girl! I have already printed out the program. I had it with me already before I asked this discussion. But I was confused, I don't know why thinking that I made a mistake or what. I just hope my classmates will not react negatively on how I made the program. God bless and good luck to us!

In the Philippines, Singing of the song, 'Lupang Hinirang' which is our national anthem comes first.

I have read the programs of the seminars that I have attended before, it seems like in one program, it is the invocation and the other it is the national anthem. But since I am in the Philippines, I have to live by the rule. I will have Lupang Hinirang, Philippine national anthem first before the invocation. Thank you sabado_dc. Much help. I owe you big.
