Why does people vandalize walls and posters and just about anything?

I was walking the street a while ago and then I noticed there are thse posters (advertisements) of condo unit,s etc and they are within reach as they are only posted in the walls of the condo being built, however there are some scratches, and there are even vandalisms in it. It was rather disturbing what I saw.. but i felt why would people do this? What gain will they have to do things such as this, anyway?
Well, to add, have you ever done this? Have you ever tried to vandalize a public wall, or posters, etc? Just to make fun of the pictures?

I have not tried that ever since. I think people who did that just want to express themselves through that!

there are good arts actually, graffiti walls... i would appreciate those kinds. but here you would see some signs or logos that some groups have created... a fraternity of some sort and some private building walls, or residential walls are left with such and these people love to put 'em around their supposed area so to let the people know they have been there, or just within the area.

I've never ever done such a thing because I don't see any reason for doing it,I'm sure it wouldn't give me any satisfaction.I guess those who vandalize those posters and walls can't find better ways to express themselves;it may be a form of protest in some cases,but usually I think they do it out of pure stupidity,they probably have fun doing it and feel excitement when they vandalize something.It is what they understand as entertainment and I don't think there is a cure for stupidity,so they will always behave this way.

Oh likely so many reasons. Boredom is a rather terrible thing to say the very least for many. And a lot of people seem to be unable to deal with being bored in a constructive manner to say the very least. So they decide to do a lot of things that might not be the best or smartest usage such as vandalizing the side of buildings.
And some of them might think it might be cool. I never did, but I knew people who might have done such a thing. And perhaps they did, but since I never saw them spray or mark or vandalize a building, I cannot tell you to say the very least. There are a lot of the times where the graffiti can get a bit graphic and uncomfortable looking. I never know what goes through the minds of some people and I don't want to.

Yes, I've done that. I used to remember when I was in High School, I used to vandalize in our school. I did that for fun and as a way to call the attention of my crush. Crazy right? Haha... Some would also consider it as an art.

Hi! I am also bothered when I see vandalism, they really don't look cool and they just add dirt to out community. In psychology those who vandalize lack attention. It is banned in school and even in public places but some people still do it. I can't understand their logic but I am sure something is wrong with them.

I only remember myself making fun of pictures from my books as a kid. But I won't waste time vandalizing and making fun of posters on the walls. There is nothing that I can gain in doing such, so why the need to waste an ink and time doing it.
