I don't know but when I am creating discussion, I usually anticipate a certain mylotter to join in the conversation and give their piece of mind. of course, this does not peahen every time and there is Independence here in mylot on terms of responding to discussion but did you ever wait for a certain mylotter to respond to your discussion?

When I start a new discussion I never know which responses that I will get. I like to talk the members who respond to my discussions and it is exciting to find out which members I am going to talk to this time. It is very nice to meet my friends in my discussions, but I am also happy when I get responses from new members or members that I have never seen in my discussions before. I don't really hope or expect that a certain Mylotter will respond, I am open for conversations with anyone who responds.

Ah. Pandora's box. It is a good approach, sometimes to be surprised since there can be a good variety of opinion but there are sum instances that I am looking for specific responses, especially if I am asking for advice (that I really really need. As for new members, I also kinda like to meet them and see what their opinions are. sometimes, it surprises me when I read their opinion because it is also refreshing.

A certain topic and issue is a good factor again in 'reuniting' for discussion perhaps, because it is already been in almost the same issues. I understand the expectation. It's more like continuing the discussion previously left of.. I do that too. I always want a good audience for my discussion. makes the whole experience lively.

It never had crossed my mind to wait for a particular person to respond to what I've posted. I do however hope that the smart alecks would somehow miss my post and won't respond :) I know that we're all entitled to our opinions but sometimes it kind of drains me when I read responses from these people. Worse is that I have to reply to their nonsensical comments even though I have the option not to since I need to put things into perspective. I mean, other people might read their replies and get confused on what the topic is all about.

This also happened to me. it's every respondent's right to have his expression heard and nobody is questioning that. But there are responders that don't stay on the topic or have replies that you confuse, much as more as other responders and future viewers of the discussions. However, there are instances where my opinion was swayed (sometimes slightly and sometimes very much swayed) when I read other people's responses. i guess we all hope for the best when we do post our discussion here.

Sometimes I hope for a certain person to respond but I never expect anyone to respond, it is just a hope. =) But I appreciate all responses I get.

You're right. Not everybody can relate to the discussions we make and we are fortunate to have some responders. Although sometimes, it really feels good that some responders shares the feeling/sentiment/background presented in the discussion. At least, this way this delimits the feelings of being 'alone' in a particular situation. But sometimes, I am waiting for a certain mylotter because his/her insights are so well put that I cannot comment back.
