Have you ever encounter system check virus?

I have experience that virus yesterday. I don't know what do, good thing my husband has many software against that kind of virus. I'm worried my files will be delete. Afterwards I have seen the folders but I decided to format again my computer because I am afraid the virus will come back. If you have experienced same thing kindly share how you resolve that virus. Thanks.

which antivirus you used?
better you can use windows 7 because their security is too high if your system not have an any antivirus then windows 7 also stop virus entering. any type of virus.
secondly you use norton or quick heal antivirus both are good. I used quick heal.

I have used Trojan Killer to disable and remove the virus. My husband used because he knows that it is the best to resolve the problem. I really cried because I really don't know what to do.

Trojan Killer remove only Trojan viruses not all. virus are many type and Trojan one type of virus.

and one more thing make copy of your all Important file at least one disc creat must. I safe my all file in external Hard disc even also made a disc. because next time in case affect viruses your computer then your files become a safe in you disc or external Hard disc.

I already used AVAST before Quick Heal and my experience about AVAST is not good AVAST detect viruses many time but not removed all and show they removed all. and viruses effect many time my PC but not in my files because I store my all file another drive not in Windows installed drive.

I have never experienced the system check virus but I scan my computer every week so that I don't have a virus on my computer.

Thanks for the comment reviewmemedia. That is a good habit, scanning your computer every week will be a great help. I will try to scan my computer every week end.

First of all, welcome to myLot. Hope you will enjoy your stay. Personally, I think the best way you can do here is to be very careful when surfing the net and also being cautious on the things you download via the internet.
Secondly, I do recommend ESET Smart Security, the latest version now is 5, but I am currently using 4.2 for which I am very satisfied. You can also try malwarebytes, which is free to download.
These two programs help my computer to be virus-free. This is tried and tested and recommended by most advanced users.

Thanks for warm welcome braveheart07. I am glad to part of my lot. I love here because I am continue learning and sharing my knowledge. Braveheart07 I am using ESET Smart Security but I wasn't able to update. I don't know how. Please tell me how?

Don't worry too much canetecheeryl,
It is not a big deal, just use Windows7, its protection against virus and malware is high. Also use Quick Heal Total Security update version and forget any virus infection in your PC. If your file got infected with virus and your antivirus cant repair it then do what your antivirus take a action to clean your PC.

Thanks for the advice jeetnrimi. I used windows7 before. But still system check virus ruined my files. So I decided to reformat it and use windowsXP. I hope system will never appear again.
