I am rooting for the Oklahoma Thunder. Kevin Durant is awesome, hands down! Plus, having locked in Russel Westbrook will surely make them concentrate to get a taste of that championship for good. Anyways, I do think Derrick Rose is also a great player. He won't win the MVP award before if he isn't. But I think that he is just an offensive star. I'd like to see a bit of the intangibles in him. I don't know but his style of play is kind of athletic which is injury prone. His athleticism makes him rely more on his individual skills rather than playing with a team skills. Just my take. Anyway, if the Bull's defense succumbs all other offenses, then they have a chance to win it all. However, I will not rely on Derrick Rose show to be able to make them win the championship. Basketball is a team game. Just my two cents in.

i quote: "His athleticism makes him rely more on his individual skills rather than playing with a team skills." i disagree with you there, my friend. first of all, D-Rose is a play-maker, he is the floor manager on the Bulls's offensive line. they would not be the 2011-2012 Regular Season Champions if they are only a one-man-team. please do not (ever) blame him for having huge points or being the top scorer of the every Bulls's games, with him. it is because he had improved and better shooting percentage compared to those who scores the same amount but with many attempts. and speaking of being a play-maker, he has a decent assist stat average. the Bulls survived, even with their MVP sidelined on several games, and topped the 2011-2012 Regular Season. i quote again: "I will not rely on Derrick Rose show to be able to make them win the championship." have you watched or even read how the Bulls, the 2012 NBA Play-offs top seed, surrendered to the 8th seeded Philadelphia 76ers? earlier on Game 1, the Bulls shown they can dominate the entire Play-offs, with D-Rose leading them. he had 23 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds: some kind of numbers are MVP-caliber stats that they needed to reach the finals, and for the title. and in the (near) last minute of the 4th quarter, the 2010-2012 Regular Season MVP slowly fell on the ground, holding his knee. that was the most shocking, most horrible, most heart-breaking incident that happened not only to the Bulls, but also to the FANS. they were owned by the Sixers for Round 2 of the ECPO. now tell me, my friend, unless you are truly a Bulls-hater, why would you not want to rely on D-Rose's ability to win the championship? if not Rose, who? Deng? Noah? Boozer? Lol. the Bulls may not need Rose in the battle of the Regular Season, but the NBA Play-offs and NBA Finals are way far different stories.

late reply, but i say: YES, Derrick Rose has the potential to bring a championship to his hometown NBA team. i will not explain much more details, but will make it short and straight to the point. the Chicago Bulls will never win a title if their MVP, Derrick Rose, is not 100% healthy.
