I was diagnosed to have an ovarian cancer last 2010. The doctor told me so because of my CA125 result that was 10x higher than the normal range. After hearing the doctors pronouncement, i feel like as if tomorrow i will die. I want to drop everything that i used to do,my masters degree, my job, and everything that is precious to me. But we don't stop there, me and my husband went to the big city and went medical check ups from one hospital to another. Until this one diplomate doctor in gynecology, who told me finally that it isn't cancer, it was my Endometriosis that mimics the CA 125 result to be 10x higher than the normal. So next time folks when your doc says you have cancer, don't easily believe with it until you seek 2nd, 3rd,4th,5th opinion.

It happens in most of cases, that we are misdiagnosed. I always say if you have doubt on anything, it is better to seek a second chance. Some of these doctors just say things based on what they think.

You are right!Doctors sometimes are harsh enough to tell their patients that they are dying, who are they? Are they the one who gives and takes life?It is only God who can take away our Lives and can tell when are we going home to Heaven. Thanks for responding.

Doctors are supposed to tell the truth but the problem is that most of them exeggerates too much or even scare away the patient. They should have a better professional approach to issues than just saying things which may leave a patient feeling hopeless or that can make his or her condition deteriorates.

Welcome to mylot Glad to know you don't have cancer, the gynecology specialist should not have told you so, it is always advisable to get multiple tests done by different doctors in good hospitals or diagnostics centers.. Best of luck friend Professor
