I wished my wife would also cook us breakfast :) She doesn't know how to, actually, so I'm the one who does it every weekend. Weekdays, we let our househelp prepare breakfast since we're all are kind of in a rush for work and school. Although she did try and make us pancakes once and it turned out okay. Maybe I need to encourage her more :)

I think what's important is the effort we make to cook for our family. It doesn't matter who's the better cook or not :)

Good for you! It does make you feel good to have been able to do something even as simple as cook for someone, doesn't it? I'm not sure why some people moan and grown about it, unless they are outrageously neglected when they do these things, it just makes you feel like you're taking care of things at home, the way they're supposed to be. I hate hearing how some people just hate to cook, clean, etc. when it is their own responsibility afterall. If they can't do simple things like that then what good use are they. Do they not want to be catered to on every whim, oh well. I was brought up so different. But my mom was the one who always complained about everything.
