Double tragedy and a lot more

We recently lost a very dear friend over a car crash that happened last February 8 (3 am). According to the stories that I have collected for the past few days, there were three of them in the car, all of them drunken from a beach party they attended. My friend was seated on the passenger seat, another one in the middle, and the driver. Speculations were, the driver, fell asleep and didn't notice that they were speeding and getting off the road until it slammed into a coconut tree. The driver and the middle guy survived, but my friend died on arrival to the hospital. The right sad of the car was also too clumped up it looked like an accordion. Terribly shocked, the mother of the driver, upon knowing, suddenly had a heart attack and was sent to the ICU where she also passed away yesterday. This is one tragedy that we couldn't believe happening. One moment, my friend was happily posting on FB and the next he was gone. If it's that hard to accept for us, I can't imagine how it is to his family. Especially now that the driver became upfront and blamed the deceased for the incident instead of looking at his own recklessness. However, if we were in his shoes, we would probably end up saying the things he said. He too lost his mom. Have you ever witnessed or done some things in the past that not only led to one tragedy but a series of other unfortunate ones?

Drunk driving, such unnecessary deaths. It's so sad.
