Have you ever joined a scam site?

If yes, how many times have you been scammed? Did you take any action or just ignore it? I found that many PTC sites become scam eventually even though they were used to be paying sites.

If you are searching for online opportunities and seeking income it is most probable that you will land on any scam site..I have been scammed several times lost money but never got frustrated and stopped working and now I have learned well how to recognize a scam site when I see it and again I try to alert others about those scam sites.

You've lost money you earned or invested? Yup, making money online teaches me to be careful and persevere.

some money were from my pocket and some earned working online and you will not believe since 2006 I am trying and testing many opportunities when they promise much on my own efforts and spent more than $2000 till date but I think I have learned much much more...and now I can pretty well decide whether a program is good or bad.
17 Feb 12
Whoa, you've spent quite much. But at least you've learnt how to differentiate those programs. Maybe you'll earn more than the money you've spent in future.

Yes I have joined scam sites. Thank God I am not someone who invests immediately. I tend to wait and see what happens before investing. It is silly to actually take action unless you mean telling the whole online community about the site turned scam. It is my fault that I fell into these scam sites and they wasted a big portion of my time so I blame myself for it. I just learn, try to be more observative and look for online reviews before trying a website out.

I have never dare to invest even though I know the site is not a scam. Yup, there is no much action can be taken but sometimes it just makes me feel frustrated since I've spent long hours on those sites. Don't you think there are something we can do so that there are less scammers?

I never wanted to invest. I joined a site that required you to invest before being able to cashout. I invested, cashed out and left for good. Though the Amount you cash out is higher than what you invested at a small percentage, i did not find it worthwhile. There is also nothing we can do about scammers. Do something about it and they will look for alternatives. Best defense against them is awareness, will not you agree?
17 Feb 12
Yup, I do agree. I also try to tell others about those sites so that less people will fall into their trap.

yes why not its very common to come across scam websites on the internet as compare to the genuine one .Those websites which says to pay more for little work are generally scam sites as per my experience. SO beware of such websites especially it it asks you to invest money .Just do multiple check on such websites. Hare Krishna Ganesh

The only site I can remember joining that turned out to be a scam is readbud. That was a long time ago and now I have learned my lesson to read reviews and search for payment proofs before joining any site.
17 Feb 12
I read that many members of that site couldn't receive payment but most Australians received their payment.

I have not be scammed yet, mostly because I take my time to do some research about a website before joining. I just hope I won't be the next victim.

I am praying that it won't happen to me too.

I also did some research before joining but still get scammed. Maybe I was unlucky. Hope that you won't be scammed in future. Good luck.

Yes, I was once. I invested about 100usd and get nothing. I was too greedy and desperate without verifying or double check with forum or discussion about the site. Honestly I don't know how or what action can I take but just ignore and learn the lesson. Since that I hardly believe any site that making money, invest or cheap sales...
14 Feb 12
I heard that you can file a report to PayPal to get the money back. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1239667 Since there are lots of free-to-join sites, I think it's better not to join those sites which require investment.

When I first started messing around on the internet, my ignorance caused me to fall victim a few times. I was able to get money back a couple or so times, but most of the time not. I finally learned that even if they were portraying an 80 year old woman who learned about the program and how easy it was to earn for her, that they were big fat liars! Whew, I used to get angry.
14 Feb 12
How do you get the money back? I heard that it's possible to file a report to PayPal to get back the money but I've never tried that before.

yeah tried it many times and it good that i only choose free sites and never invest any amount to it so i stop using it when i tried to cashout and never received the money or they ask for investment in order to cashout
14 Feb 12
I also never invest money but the time I "invested" is wasted... What are the sites that require investment before cashing out?

Yes, that is a must experience for online earning, more site you join, more chance to get SCAM :(
14 Feb 12
At least more scam you get, less likely you'll join a scam site in future.

Yes I have a few times, not many tho. I usually do a good research about the site before joining, but if the program is brand new no-one can really know wheter its a paying site or not. When I notice I get scammed I abandon the site right away and report about it to forums I use etc so everyone else would know about it too.
14 Feb 12
So will you join those new site? Yes, I think the best thing we can do is informing more people about those scam sites.
13 Feb 12
Yes , I joined only one scam site but I didn't do anything as they made me inactive when I requested a withdraw
14 Feb 12
I notice these scam sites like to ban those users who want to withdraw. I prefer sites with active forum so that I can guess it's going to be scam when the forum is inactive.

No., i never joined any scam site. I always take care when i am searching over internet. I don't use most of the earning sites other than Mylot. Mylot is a type of knowledge earning site and also a money.
14 Feb 12
Lucky you. I'm careful when I'm about to join a site. I'm quite unlucky as some of the sites I joined become scam only after I've joined. So you only use mylot to earn?

Not yet. I am just praying and hoping that I will not be scammed but maybe because I am usually very careful especially when it comes to spending money on any website.
