Patients get counterfeit cancer drugs

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that this has happened. Roche has informed doctors that some of the drugs they received to treat cancer may be counterfeited and of no value. This has happened in three states. One is Texas which is the state that I live in. It was on the news this evening but Roche informed doctors yesterday. This is a really terrible thing to do to persons fighting cancer. It is enough of a struggle without having some person(s) or some group do this to them. For some of these patients, it could mean death. Hopefully, Roche discovered this early on and it is not too late for the patients who received the fake drugs.

I have also heard of schemes where clinics dilute the genuine medicine with distilled water so that the excess could be sold on the black market. It is awful what some peopel will do for money, when they are supposed to be helping people.

I believe the pharmacist I heard about doing this was charged with attempted murder.
