yesterday, my sons were climbing an old tree just behind our house, they were shouting, laughing, and actually having fun. it made me reminisce how i really enjoy to be on top of a tree, just enjoying the view on top and really felt happy. now, all i can do is watch.. how i wish to be young again and be able to climb trees, lol.

I can really relate to this. When I was still young I can still remember those days wherein my friends and I would actually go to the mountains and climb trees and other things. Those days where so fun. When I see children who are doing what I have done during my childhood, I can recall those things. It was great.

Hi obe212003, When it is about nature like trees, garden, farm... I want to be the first person to enjoy these. Climbing trees is fun and I love it. Esp., with big trunk and lot of branches I really love it. Recently, I climbed a tree for a picture with my family during a picnic. It is really enjoyable. It is nostalgia. Even it is just for a picture it is fun with family. Nature is good when it comes to enjoy life. I love life when with nature. Nice discussion posted. Cheers... Have a nice day always....

yeah, i believe the best things in life are free, and nature really has a lot to offer especially the trees, the mountains, the plants, etc. and the fact that we're having fun and enjoying climbing trees is a significant part of creating wonderful memories as one gets old.

ah, the joys of youth! my girls used to climb trees and like it. one just grew out of it and the other fell out of one (fortunately, no injuries!) but now they are young ladies.

luckily she had no injuries.. i remember a friend who fell off about 10 feet high from a tree and really had no injuries except for some small skin abrasions on his elbows, but after falling, he just simply climbed up again as if nothing really happened, lol!

Oh that's really nice. I remember climbing a tree but not just a short one and probably that happened just once or twice. I rarely climbed a tree when I was young since I grew up in a city and only experienced climbing a tree when I was in my mom's province. Oh well, thank for this interesting topic. I might try to climb a tree again once the opportunity arrives ^^. I need to do it while I am still young. Happy lotting!

yeah, that's also fun to do, harvesting fruits... i used to climb Caimito tree and my friends would surely get all the ripe ones, eat some and then sell the remaining ones.

When I was a small child I was to affraid of climmbing the trees. Simply, I was too scared of highness, and just an idea of falling down made me sick. Later, I start to be more bold and I tried to climb them and now I do not have any problem but still there is some bad feeling. I remember how I admire those children who was bold to climb them.

well, the fact that you tried is already a feat worthy of commendation. the fear of height with the anxious feeling of falling would always be present, but having the ability to somehow alleviate this is an accomplishment. thanks!

I remember when I was little going down to my cousins place and they had a huge tree that we used to climb and we made a little look out hut up on it, this was really something for a little kid that lived in the city in a tiny little house, I thought they were rich..

i truly agree with you, when i was small i along with my sis and friends used to play on a mango tree, that was planted in our garden. we used to climb the tree, jump and had all the fun we could have. Unluckily i think my kids will not be able to have all that fun, which i had.

Me too! I wish to be young again to be able to climb trees! I used to climb trees with my cousins and childhood friend when I was a kid. Now i miss doing that. I can still climb trees though but that would make me look unladylike so I should not. But I loved climbing trees especially the mango trees and we used to pick the fruits at the top of the tree and eat it there.

The trees - The trees we used to climb we climb them no more.
Climbing trees! Oh I love trees and I love climbing at them. But just like you, I do that when I was a child while playing with my neighbors. It was lots of fun and really nice to reminisce. Children are just so playful and they can do just about anything to enjoy their life sometimes they can even do naughty but funny things even. When we grow old, our movement becomes limited of course so although our spirit is willing our body is already weak and can't go with the active life of the youth. We just wake up one day to realize that the trees we used to climb, we climb at them no more. Nevertheless just looking at the playful kids who still enjoy life by climbing trees is enough to delight our heart.

sorry to hear that, but don't feel bad. you can try on a small tree or if you're really afraid of heights, then sitting or laying underneath a tree is also fun and relaxing.

yeah, i just learned to laugh on my innocence then, having to do a lot of things with all the excitement and fun. i remember climbing as high as i could possibly could without fear and just hoping to be the envy of my peers. same here, i wish i could be young again to that and hopefully experience the joy of being on top a tree.

Those are very special moments in our life, that too during the ages between 8-12. In my childhood days too, I also used to Climb big trees and sit there comfortably for long time and enjoyed alot. It seems to be unforgettable.
