Are There Times That You Force Yourself To Listen?

There are so many times in my life that I feel like I'm forcing myself to listen. Here are some of my list. 1. In School - during my student life, everyday is an excruciating day for me because of my major subjects which I feel that I'm forced to take. But I need to listen because of my family's expectations. Wow! It takes me FOUR years. 2. In Church - After our Junior Prom which ended around four in the morning, my friends decided to attend a mass. I can't say no to them so I went with them. It turned out to be the worst day because I was always moving side-front-back when its time for singing I was very sleepy. I feel like I'm floating. Everybody need to stand when singing. Despite of my condition, still I need to listen to the priest because EVERYBODY is required. 3. When MOTHER Talks - I don't want to listen but she forces me. Brutal way of parenting. :p

I got a feeling that the homily is scripted? I see a lot of priest reading during homily.

haha...Mother's talk is the most excruciating in the world I think. Why mothers like nagging?

sometimes we have force our self to listen because it is for our own sake, but sometimes forcing yourself to listen makes you feel pissed.right?especially when mother talks or shouting at you, they should know the better way of talking to their child/children.

Among the three places where you were forced to listen, school becomes a common place for each of us, but it is for our good...so, shouldnt mind...mother's talk...yes, even my mom goes on and on especially with my brother more than me...he gets fed up and just leaves after a while...ha ha ha

At work sometimes i feel like i talk and no one listens to me and i cant stand that at all but at times i know i talk to fast and i have to repeat myself. But that doesnt bother me much that no one is listening to me i usually keep quiet and go on by myself with things. Now me listening to other people not so easy, i really have to pay attention and if i dont it wont be good. I have to write almost everything down that someone tells me because i will really forget what they just said to me. When i was in highschool and in some classes iwould fall asleep becasue listening to watch the techer was saying was boring me and i was intrested in it at all so that was always no good for me and hard for me as well.
